Hi, blog friends! I hope you all had a very blessed Christmas! We had a wonderful Christmas Eve service at our church with all of our church family. And then again on Christmas day. What a blessing to be reminded of, and to celebrate, Christ's birth! That the God of the universe would come to earth in the form of a baby, to save us from our sins, is just amazing to me! We have much to be thankful for!
Well, I finally decorated a candle. I've been wanting to for ages, and when I found this free vintage images website, I knew I had to try one. It was easy peasy, and really dresses up a candle nicely for gift giving!
Love, love, love this image! It's a vintage image from some old sheet music that I got from The Graphic Fairy. If you've never checked out her blog, you need to get over there and have a look!
I've made a mat for the candle from a piece of TH grunge board, and covered it with dp from Pink Paislee. The lace around the bottom of the candle, and the bird nest, is from Prima, and the flowers and pearls are from WOC. The seam binding is from Whimsy. This was a really fun project, and I'm sure I'll be making another one soon!
I would like to enter the following challenges:
Bearly Mine- anything goes
Creative Inspiration- anything goes
Moving along with the times- retro music
The Shabby Tea Room- colorful & shabby
Digi Doodle Shop-anything goes
Simon Says Stamp- anything goes
Dutch Dare Card- favorite things (flowers and ribbon)
Crafts And Me- anything goes
Thank you so much for your visit, and I wish you all a very Happy New Year! Blessings, Karen
